Since September 2012 the Recycling and Education Program Coordinator has been writing a weekly column for The Daily Citizen newspaper called "Recycle & Reuse". The articles focus on educating the community about recycling, how to manage waste properly, and live an environmentally friendly lifestyle. You can read the column in print every other Wednesday in the Living Section (C section). Geocaching is a fun activity that can be done outdoors. Geocachers love the outdoors so much that they also follow the CITO motto - Cache In, Trash Out. This week's article gives the basics to get started with this game, and tips on picking up litter while you're outside.
