Since September 2012 the Recycling and Education Program Coordinator has been writing a weekly column for The Daily Citizen newspaper called "Recycle & Reuse". The articles focus on educating the community about recycling, how to manage waste properly, and live an environmentally friendly lifestyle. You can read the column in print every other Wednesday in the Living Section (C section). What about the other plastics?
Last week we wrote that only plastic bottles, jars, and jugs with the #1 or #2 recycling symbol are currently accepted in Dalton, GA and Whitfield County recycling drop-off sites. What about the other plastics? This week's article gives an interesting alternative to recycling plastic #5 and plastic shopping bags.
